What is the Barrier Free NWTA?
This 2 day residential training is a ManKind Project sponsored New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA) designed for Men who are differentially-abled. The weekend with include both staff and participants with varying physical abilities and challenges. And it is open to all men.
What are the fees?
While participants are asked to pay $695, there are adequate scholarships funds for this training ensuring that no man will be turned away due to his inability to pay.
How else can I support this weekend?
Invite a fellow man who might be challenged with barriers in his life. You can donate to the scholarship fund or help coordinate transportation. Everyone’s support is welcome. Fill out the form on the Contact Us page if you have any questions.
What about transportation needs?
Our carpool coordinator will assist in arranging accessible transportation to the site.
Can aides come? What if my aide is female?
There will be support staff to assist the participants through all processes. If you need an aide for personal care and/or other required health maintenance regimes, one male aide may accompany you. If you do not have an existing aide, or they are female, a Man of Service will be assigned to you throughout the weekend.

What are participant arrival and departure agreements?
All participants are instructed to arrive between 2:30pm and 3:30pm on Friday August 23rd, 2019. Departure from site will be prior to 4:00pm on Sunday August 25th, 2019.
What are nearest airports, etc.?
The nearest airport is Phoenix, a 2-1/2-hour drive in normal traffic conditions. The site is a 4-hour drive from Las Vegas and a 7-hour drive from San Diego or Los Angeles.
